Destination: Haunted Houses and Corn Mazes

While most people would not want to live in a haunted house, they relish the opportunity to visit one. Fortunately, Dane County offers three of the scariest in south-central Wisconsin.

Corn mazes, on the other hand, were no doubt designed as an antidote to the anxieties generated by haunted houses. But one of my friends is still slightly traumatized by the memory of the time he and his young son were lost deep in a corn maze as darkness descended. They were saved by some fellow maze-goers, who stumbled upon them and led everyone out safely.  

What follows is a list of area haunted houses and corn mazes to put you in a fall mood while also maybe scaring the daylights out of you:
