Born in Iowa and raised in Minnesota, she later attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities before making Wisconsin her home. With her husband and two children—both studying at UW–Madison—she proudly embraces the title of Cheesehead.
With over 20 years of experience as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and proficiency in American Sign Language, she has worked extensively across Columbia, Dane, Green, and Rock Counties. Her career and travels have given her a unique perspective on the character and charm of each community.
